POST: 1x Welder/Senior/Principal (D1- D5)

STATION: Harare Office 

REPORTS TO: Land Surveyor, Geodetic Network, Monumentation and Maintenance

DEPARTMENT: Surveyor General

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Calculating dimensions for metal parts to be welded.
  2. Cutting and fabricating metal.
  3. Setting up, positioning, aligning, and securing metal parts.
  4. Hand-welding and brazing various metal components using welding equipment.
  5. Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to avoid welding defects.
  6. Maintaining welding equipment in perfect condition to promote safety.
  7. Performing other relevant duties as assigned by the Land Surveyor, Geodetic
  8. Network, Monumentation and Maintenance. 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

The desired candidate should;

  • Hold a National Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Welding and Fabrication.
  • Be able to perform ARC welding duties with precision.
  • Experience in performing welding duties will be an added advantage.
  • Have good communication skill
